Karen Sue McVay, 65, of El Dorado, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born on April 27, 1958 to Rufus Virgil and Naomi Mae Hurst Thurlkill in Barstow, CA.
Karen was formerly employed by Kroger and was a member of Mt. Union Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death are her parents.
Survivors include her son, Robert Michael McVay (Melanie) of Rogers, AR; her partner, Jason Jeter; her fur babies, Lulu and Papa; her sister, Ann McAdams (Scott) of El Dorado; her brothers, Virgil Lynn Thurlkill (Vickie) of Nappapello, MO, Keith Allen Thurlkill (Maria) of Houston, TX, Richard Eric Thurlkill (Monica) of Felsenthal. AR; and numerous nieces; nephews; and many beloved friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Young’s.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday. March 22, 2024 at Smyrna Cemetery with Bro. Glynn Funderburk officiating, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
