June Kathleen Morrison Moudy

June Kathleen Morrison Moudy of El Dorado, Arkansas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of 89 on March 11, 2024. The fiery little redhead was born in Winchester, Kansas to Rev. Garland William and Erma Laveta O’Neill Morrison.

She was the loving wife and sweetheart for 59 years to the late Bill Moudy. They were blessed with four children that she mothered with all of her heart all of her days. The couple had two sons: Johnny and Billy Bob Moudy (Lorrie) of El Dorado and two daughters: Pam Moudy Nevels (Glen) of White Hall and Vickie Moudy Walker (Ken) of Hot Springs. She doted over her six grandchildren: Chad Nevels (Sandy), Amy Moudy Rogers (TJ), Leslie Walker Blankenship (Brian), Landon Moudy, Drake Moudy (Natalie), and Dawson Moudy, she adored her eight great-grandchildren: Jaime, John, Lydia and Luke Nevels; Annabelle and JB Rogers; and Elliot and Oliver Blankenship. She is survived by her brother, Rev. Garland Morrison (Carol) of Little Rock.

Kathy was a paraprofessional at Murmil Heights for the El Dorado School District. She loved being with her family, whether it was during holidays, family vacations, or Sunday dinner gatherings. Despite how important every person was to her; the Lord was always first place in her heart. Her faith was unwavering and was the rock on which she built her life and family. Her children and grandchildren ALWAYS knew they had her as a prayer warrior interceding and praying over them. She shared her hope in Jesus and her testimony to all that knew her.

She was a faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church for nearly 60 years. For many years she sang in the adult choir, worked with the children & youth ministries, enjoyed her weekly Bible study classes, and worked with Operation Christmas Child. Before moving to El Dorado, she was a church pianist and even in her youth accompanied her father in revivals by playing the piano or accordion, helping in whatever way was needed.

June Kathleen Moudy’s faith was unshakable. Her love was unconditional. We, her family, count ourselves most blessed to have been led and loved by her.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 12th at Young’s Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, March 13th at 1:00 PM at Immanuel Baptist Church, burial immediately following at Arlington Cemetery. Bro. Clark Whitney will officiate. We would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Greg Smart, who lovingly cared for our mother throughout her life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Operation Christmas Child.

Condolences can be expressed at www.youngsfuneralhome.com for the Moudy family.
